Viridor is at the forefront of waste management and resource recovery in the UK, operating the largest network of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). We play a crucial role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources.
We have an opportunity in Ardley for a Day Fuel Reception Operator to join our team working 40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday split over Early Shifts (0630-1500) & Late Shifts (1030-1900)
and 1 in 7 Saturdays.
The salary for this role will be £34,069.00 per year, plus shift allowance and participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits.

The Day Fuel Reception Operative is a vital team player within the Shift Team, predominantly responsible for the fuel reception at the ERF and other plant areas.
Your duties will include traffic management, operating heavy plant, operation of overhead cranes, forklift trucks and any other machinery as required in accordance with ERF procedures.
Additional duties may comprise of weighbridge operation, plant checks, site cleaning duties and Tipping Hall management. You will manage waste movements and bulky materials during peak periods of the day.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in the operation of mobile plant
- Lifting / Slinging, plant or FLT certification
- Experience of safe systems of work, permits for Work, procedures, risk assessments and associated safety documentation
- Engineering, Technical or Operational qualification
- Ability to think logically and solve problems effectively and efficiently
