Senior Accountant - Cashflow

We have a new opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our team, based in Avonmouth, working 37.5 hours per week.

 

The salary for this role will be £50,000.00 to £55,000.00 per year with participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits.

Accountable to the Head of Accounting, Reporting & Control, you will have experience in statutory financial reporting, supporting the preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS and supporting the financial audit.

You will carry out preparation and take ownership of monthly divisional cashflow reporting actuals versus budget and forecast to management.

 

You will be a key player in the budgeting and planning process of this exercise also in conjunction with finance operations team.

 

You will have a strong understanding of the KPI levers which drive cashflow performance and reporting.

 

You will support in reviewing the Energy accounting team’s month end close journals and to carry out individual detailed general ledger reviews by legal entity post close to ensure financials are accurate, complete, and free from material misstatements.

 

You will be a dedicated financial professional prepared to support the Energy Accounting team on both statutory reporting and internal management reporting. Leveraging technical competence and an attention to detail to sustaining a high standard of financial accounting and associated statutory and external reporting. Working effectively with internal finance business partners, corporate accounting and external auditors at high pace, bringing good project management skills to deliver consistently on a timely basis.

 

Our ideal Senior Accountant will be able to demonstrate:

  • Good knowledge of similar role with relevant financial experience within cashflow reporting, accounting & statutory reporting.
  • Cashflow statement preparation experience including joint ventures
  • Financial controls experience
  • Statutory reporting compliance
  • Management Reporting
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Suite, proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with detail and high accuracy
  • Time management and priority setting.
  • Fully qualified accountant with strong knowledge of technical finance accounting , financial reporting and statutory accounting.
  • 2-5 years PQE, an external audit firm background is preferred.
