Viridor is at the forefront of waste management and resource recovery in the UK, operating the largest network of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). We play a crucial role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources. 

We have an opportunity in Bargeddie for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team working average 38.5  hours per week, Monday to Friday.

     The salary for this role will be £47,816.00 per year including shift allowance, and participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the execution of planned and reactive maintenance across the site, ensuring all maintenance activities are performed within the correct methods established through company Health and safety guidance, in line with risk assessments and safe operating procedures.

You’ll provide support to other disciplines as necessary using your expertise and skills, as well as working as an Authorised Person, you’ll collaborate with both the permit and maintenance Coordinators to ensure that system isolation are in place to allow works to proceed as planned.

Our Supervisor will line manage our team of Technicians, along with the coordination of contractors as required, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

What are we looking for?

• Appropriate technical qualifications City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent
• Understanding of Environmental and Health and Safety issues and their impacts
• Solid understanding of powerplant processes
• Ability to think logically and solve problems effectively and efficiently
• Previous experience in line managing a team
• AP2 authorised
