Operational Support Technician

Viridor is at the forefront of waste management and resource recovery in the UK, operating the largest network of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). We play a crucial role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources. 

 

We have an opportunity in Beddington for a Operations Support Technician to join our team working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

 

     The salary for this role will be circa £46,525.00 per year, and participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits.

The Operations Support Technician will provide support to the Operations team on site, planning, implementing, monitoring systems and processes through good practice, to maximise efficiency and ensure health and safety compliance.

 

You will lead, coordinate and report on the operational Preventative Planned Maintenance tasks to ensure completeness and feedback is provided to ensure continuous improvement in maintenance activity.

 

As the Senior Authorised Person (SAP), you will also manage and ensure compliancy with the ERF Safe Systems of Work, as well as working with the management team, striving for continual improvement in minimising Heath Safety and Environmental impacts.

 

What are we looking for?

 

  • An Engineering qualification, preferably ONC / HNC or equivalent
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
  • Experience of working in a process or power plant
  • A good understanding of environmental, health and safety within a process or power industry.
  • A SAP qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
