We have a new opportunity for a Head of Growth & Development to join our team, working 37.5 per week.  The role has the possibility of hybrid working or can be based at any one of our national sites.

 

We are offering a competitive salary for this role with participation in an annual bonus scheme, and a car allowance, in addition to our great range of benefits.

About the Role


As Head of Growth & Development, you’ll be at the forefront of driving energy utilisation and developing innovative complementary infrastructure for our Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to evolve and deliver Viridor’s development strategy.

 

This role is key to supporting customer growth and retention, working closely with the fuel supply team and engaging a wide range of stakeholders to align on and deliver strategic initiatives.

 

 

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Leading the development and execution of long-term growth strategies for energy utilisation and infrastructure.

 

  • Working cross-functionally with the fuel supply and commercial teams to enhance customer value and satisfaction.

 

  • Developing innovative infrastructure solutions to support energy recovery and circular economy goals.

 

  • Building and managing strategic relationships with internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders.

 

  • Supporting strategic investment decisions and project delivery across Viridor Energy

 

 

What We’re Looking For

 

  • Proven leadership experience in a strategic growth, development, or infrastructure role — ideally within the energy, environmental, or utilities sector.

 

  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills.

 

  • Strong track record in developing and delivering large-scale, strategic projects.

 

  • A forward-thinking, commercially minded individual with a passion for sustainability and innovation.
