Viridor ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) team leads the design, development and delivery of the corporate ESG strategy and its integration into the core business strategy to continuously drive us forward. Our greatest opportunity for transformational impact is in the environment, with our key strategic focus on decarbonisation and transition to the circular economy

We have a new opportunity for a Media and Stakeholder Relations Manager  to join our team working 37.5 hours per week.

 

The salary for this role will be circa £70,000 per year with participation in an annual bonus scheme, and a car allowance, in addition to our great range of benefits. The Location for this role is Flexible.

Lead Viridor’s media, social media and stakeholder relations activity to strengthen reputation and support our social licence to operate. Manage national and trade media engagement, press handling and reputational risk. Own corporate social channels and deliver high‑quality content that amplifies our narrative. Build strong relationships with journalists, industry bodies and key stakeholders. Drive local PR around sites to improve community sentiment. Support senior leadership profiling and play a central role in crisis and incident communications. Ensure all external communications meet legal, regulatory and brand standards.
