Viridor is at the forefront of waste management and resource recovery in the UK, operating the largest network of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). We play a crucial role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources.
We have an opportunity for a Regional Engineer to join our team working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, the base location is flexible and will be dicussed further at interview.
The salary for this role will be £65,500 per year, plus car allowance, and participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits.

Join our operational leadership team as a Regional Engineer, where you will play a key role in ensuring the long-term availability, safety, and performance of our Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). You’ll support site teams across the UK by leading maintenance strategies, outage planning, engineering assurance, and contractor management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead outage planning and delivery across multiple sites
- Provide expert engineering support to site teams
- Support engineering budgets, lifecycle planning, and CAPEX forecasting
- Drive health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Assist in managing FM Global relationships
- Promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement
- Conduct site visits, audits, and performance reviews
What we are looking for
- HNC or above in Engineering (or equivalent)
- IOSH safety qualification
- Strong experience in power/process industries
- Knowledge of pressure systems and maintenance legislation
- Excellent communication, planning, and leadership skills
- Proven track record in outage and contractor management
- Full UK driving licence
