Rotating Equipment Engineer

Viridor is at the forefront of waste management and resource recovery in the UK, operating the largest network of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). We play a crucial role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources. 

 

We have an opportunity for a Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our team working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday which can be based at any Viridor location

The ERF Rotating Equipment Engineer is responsible for all aspects of engineering and maintenance of rotating equipment across the fleet of ERF’s, in co-operation with the individual site Engineering Managers, site Engineers and the Central Engineering Team. The Rotating Equipment Engineers goal is to ensure optimal long-term availability of rotating plant, to preserve the value of the assets and to comply with environmental, health & safety and statutory requirements.

As our ERF Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will also be responsible for efficient planning and execution of maintenance activities associated with the ERF plant. You will also work closely with the site(s) Engineering Manager, Other Trade Engineers, Stock Controller, and the Operations team to deliver robust engineering solutions and contractual support to meet plant availability targets.

 

The ERF Rotating Equipment Engineer will be primarily focused on.

 

  • Safety and Work Management
  • Identification and resolution of problems, escalation to management in a timely fashion.
  • Completion of planned maintenance.
  • ERF Rotating Equipment Outage Management.
  • Contractor Management.
