Viridor is at the forefront of waste management and resource recovery in the UK, operating the largest network of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). We play a crucial role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources. 

 

We have an opportunity in our Glasgow Recycling & Renewable  for a MRF Lead Mechanical Technician to join our team working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

 

     The salary for this role will be £60,320.00 per year, and participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits.

The Lead Mechanical Technician is responsible for the day to day coordination of mechanical activities; repair and maintenance of all equipment in the MRF. This role will  provide overall support to other disciplines as necessary using experience and skills. Assisting in the co-ordination and management of contracts and contractors as required, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment, the Lead Mechanical Technician will be responsible for supporting outage planning and management of site projects, whilst  driving health and safety culture and ensuring the efficient running of the MRF.O
