Viridor is at the forefront of waste management and resource recovery in the UK, operating the largest network of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). We play a crucial role in supporting the UK's climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources.
We have an opportunity in Runcorn for a Auxiliary Plant Operative to join our team working 40 hours per week, working a shift pattern, to include nights.
The salary for this role will be £37,472 per year, plus shift allowance of £6,594, and participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits.

As an Auxiliary Plant Operator (APO), you will work on a shift rotation to;
• Competently carry out operational activities within the boiler house and turbine hall and ensure that they are carried out in a safe, professional, economical and timely manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure the efficient day to day operation of the plant under the direction of the Shift Team Leader, maximising plant availability at the facility. • Assist the Shift Team with the operation of plant whilst maintaining all company standards and ensuring legal compliance.
